Summer Activities

Sometimes, a good activity can also help you to practice valuable skills
or pass them along to your younger brothers and sisters. Parents, of course, should assist, if time permits. :)

Reading is a fun thing for everyone to participate in as a collective group.
You can delegate different people to help with each area.

I ask the cats sometimes to listen to something I play on the piano
or if I read something that concerns them. They always listen and say meow. They give great feedback.

Now, if there are people involved, you get amazing feedback and cooperation!!!!!!

Here's a site with wonderful and fun activities to try out this summer.

Reading is not only engaging. It heightens your awareness to new and exciting things.
I hope this summer is spectacular for all of you at home.

Happy Summer!

Kids As Future Consumers

If this topic interests you, you might want to contact the right experts.
There are a few online.

Heidi Stevens, in a newspaper article recently (for Tribune Newspapers 5/30/10)
recommends the following sites.

www.admongo.gov

She focuses on media and consumerism in the article and that literacy is needed
for the children to understand that ads are seeking a response from them. This is also going to be more important to them as they are the future consumers in our society.

If you would like to find information on the article, contact Heidi at
